Certified Antibacterial and Antiviral Fabrics, hypoallergenic, made with 99.9% silver, produced using a patented Made in Italy process.
Our fabrics hold 18 certifications, including ISO 17025 and ISO 18184.
Soliani EMC has decided to grant antibacterial properties to its textile and non-textile products. These items are made of 100% polyamide or polyester and, thanks to a patented metallization process, acquire the ability to reduce the bacterial load potentially present on the fabric.
Certifications
Our fabrics are qualified according to:
- Cytotoxicity Test according to DIN EN ISO 10993-5
- DIN EN ISO 20743:2013-12: "Textiles - Determination of the antibacterial activity of antibacterial finished products"
- ISO 18184: This standard, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), describes the requirements and testing methods to determine the antiviral activity of textile products. It covers fabrics, fibers, yarns, knits, and similar textile products.
Materials and Processing
The silver metallization technology allows the fabrics to retain all their original properties, ensuring freshness, comfort, and the same feel as untreated fabrics. Additionally, it provides the unique feature of waterproofness.
Important Note
Currently, there are no certified washing treatments for face masks approved by the WHO, so the washing cycles indicated in the technical data sheets are standard and have not been tested according to specific regulations.

- Fabrics conforming to cytotoxicity tests in accordance with ISO 10993 and sensitization and in-vitro irritation tests (reports MAB_2020_49 and MAB_2020_57, conducted by Tecnopolo Mario Veronesi of Mirandola), available as attached documentation.
- Silver fabric also complies with the Cytotoxicity Test according to DIN EN ISO 10993-5.
- Treated fabrics according to OEKO-TEX class II standards for WR treatment.
- Fabrics with antibacterial activity certified according to UNI EN ISO 20645:2005 and ISO 20743:2013 for Staphylococcus aureus.
Additional Features: Excellent thermal dissipation and air permeability.
The center image shows a CE FFP2 mask, while the image on the right shows a prototype mask made with a combination of our fabrics. As indicated by the study, it is recommended to use a central nosepiece to optimize air dissipation from the nose, as highlighted by the thermographic images.
